SKINNERS FOOTWEAR AUSTRALIA - EXCHANGE & RETURNS POLICY

1. Our Change of Mind Policy (14 Days)

Try them on indoors on a clean surface. If they don't fit, we'll swap them! We just can't accept them back if they've been outside or are dirty.

We offer a 14-day return policy for 'change of mind' and incorrect sizing returns. This means you have 14 days after receiving your item to request a return for a refund.

Eligibility Criteria

To be eligible for a return under this 'change of mind' or 'incorrect sizing' policy, your item must meet the following criteria:

  • Condition: The item must be in the same condition that you received it, meaning suitable for resale. We strongly recommend that you try on the sock shoes indoors on a clean, soft surface (like carpet) until you are satisfied with the fit. Items returned with signs of outdoor use, damage, or wear will not be accepted.
  • Packaging & Tags: The item must be returned with all original tags attached and in its original, undamaged packaging (including the shoe box). Please place the shoe box inside a protective satchel or box when shipping to prevent damage.
  • Proof of Purchase: While we can usually track your purchase via our system, providing your order number or name will help us process the return faster.

How to Start a Return (Change of Mind / Incorrect Sizing)

If your return is accepted, we will provide you with instructions on how and where to send your package. Items sent back to us without first requesting a return will not be accepted.

Return Shipping Costs for Change of Mind / Incorrect Sizing

For all returns requested under this 14-day 'change of mind' or 'incorrect sizing' policy:

  • The cost of return postage must be covered by the customer. We recommend using a traceable shipping service.
  • The original shipping cost paid on the order is non-refundable.

2. Consumer Guarantees (Australian Consumer Law - Faulty Items)

Our goods come with guarantees that cannot be excluded under the Australian Consumer Law (ACL). Nothing in this policy limits, excludes, or modifies your consumer rights under the ACL.

Procedure for Faulty Items

If your sock shoes are faulty, defective, or fail to meet a consumer guarantee under the ACL, we will provide a replacement at no extra cost to you. We do not offer a repair service.

  1. Contact Us Immediately: Email us at info@skinnersfootwear.com.au as soon as you identify the fault.
  2. Provide Evidence: In your email, include a description of the fault and clear photographs of the issue.
  3. Assessment and Replacement: Once we have assessed the evidence and confirmed a fault, we will ship a brand-new replacement pair to you at no cost. We will notify you if we require the return of the faulty item, in which case we will cover the cost of the return postage.

3. Exceptions / Non-Returnable Items

At this time, we cannot accept returns on gift cards.

4. Exchanges

If you require a different size or colour (under the 'change of mind' policy), the fastest way to ensure you get what you want is to follow the return process outlined in Section 1 for the unwanted item, and make a separate purchase for the new item.

5. Refunds

Refunds for Change of Mind / Incorrect Sizing

Once we've received and inspected your return, we will notify you if the refund was approved. If approved, you will be refunded to your original payment method. Please note that the costs associated with the return shipping will be deducted from your total refund amount.

Refunds for Warranty Claims (Faulty Items)

For items that are faulty under the ACL and qualify for a refund instead of a replacement, the refund amount will be 100% of the purchase price, and we will cover the cost of return shipping.

We aim to process all approved refunds within 10 business days. Please allow additional time for your bank or credit card company to process the transaction.
