Exchange and Returns

This policy applies specifically to returns requested due to sizing issues or change of mind. It does not limit, exclude, or modify your statutory rights under the Australian Consumer Law (ACL) regarding faulty, defective, or incorrectly described goods.


1. Exchange for Sizing Policy (14 Days)

We offer a voluntary 14-day exchange policy solely for customers who require a different size in the same product. This means you have 14 days after receiving your item to request an exchange.

Eligibility Criteria for Exchange

  • Condition: The item must be in the same condition that you received it, meaning unworn, unused, and suitable for resale.
    IMPORTANT NOTE: We strongly recommend that you try on the sock shoes indoors on a clean, soft surface (like carpet) until you are satisfied with the fit. Items returned with signs of outdoor use, damage, or wear will not be accepted for an exchange.
  • Packaging & Tags: The item must be returned with all original tags attached and in its original, undamaged packaging (including the shoe box). Please place the shoe box inside a protective satchel or box when shipping to prevent damage.
  • Proof of Purchase: Providing your order number or name will help us process the exchange faster.

Exchange Procedure

  1. Request an Exchange: To start an exchange, please contact us at info@skinnersfootwear.com.au within 14 days of receipt.
  2. Assessment: If your exchange is accepted, we will provide you with instructions on how and where to send your package. Items sent back to us without first requesting an exchange will not be accepted.
  3. Shipping: The cost of return postage to us must be covered by the customer. We recommend using a traceable shipping service.
  4. Exchange Fulfillment:
    • We will first offer you the same model and colour in your requested size, if available.
    • If the exact model/colour/size is not available, you may choose a different size from any of the other colours we currently carry in that model.
    • We will cover the cost of shipping the replacement item to you.

2. Consumer Guarantees & Faulty Items (Australian Consumer Law)

Your mandatory consumer guarantees are fully outlined in our separate, detailed 2 Year Manufacturer Warranty and Guarantees policy.

Nothing in this Returns Policy limits, excludes, or modifies your statutory rights under the Australian Consumer Law (ACL) regarding faulty, defective, or incorrectly described goods.

Procedure for Faulty Items & Warranty Claims

If your sock shoes are faulty, defective, or fail to meet a consumer guarantee under the ACL, please follow the detailed claim process laid out in our 2 Year Manufacturer Warranty Policy.

If the item needs to be returned for assessment, and a fault is confirmed, we will cover the cost of the return postage.


3. Exceptions / Non-Returnable Items

At this time, we cannot accept returns on gift cards.


4. Refunds

  • Refunds for Sizing/Change of Mind: As per our policy, we do not offer refunds for requests based on sizing or change of mind. We only offer an exchange for a different size (as outlined in Section 1).
  • Refunds for Warranty Claims (Faulty Items): Any refund provided for a confirmed major fault is subject to the resolution options detailed in our 2 Year Manufacturer Warranty policy. Approved refunds will be for 100% of the purchase price and are generally processed within 10 business days.
